SDS wants USF to end its association with CENTCOM

The U.S.-led wars in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Syria, Iraq and elsewhere in southwest Asia are coordinated from Tampa at U.S. Central Command – CENTCOM; in a press conference Thursday afternoon Tampa Bay Students for a Democratic Society launched a campaign to end the relationship between the University of South Florida and CENTCOM and another command, U.S. SOUTHCOM, based in the Miami area.

Thursday morning WMNF News interviewed Chrisley Carpio, a lead organizer with Tampa Bay Students for a Democratic Society.

Special Operations Command is also based at MacDill.
