Undocumented immigrants in Florida cannot legally drive. Thursday morning a group called the Dream Defenders asked Tampa City Council to adopt a resolution supporting a change in state law.

Alekos Zambrano presented an idea called “licenses for all” to city council members.

“For the 1.5 million undocumented immigrants in Florida and in counties like Miami-Dade county for one, 70% of the misdemeanors that they receive and end up getting deported for are traffic related.”

On Wednesday night in downtown Tampa, 15 people lit candles and shared stories about Boston.

Underneath a flag at half-mast in front of the federal courthouse, organizers led prayers for the victims of Monday's Boston Marathon terror attack.

It was billed as "Praying for Boston, Interfaith Vigil."

Monday non-married couples in Pinellas were able to sign up for the county’s new domestic partner registry. The four different branches of the Clerk of Courts were prepared for a large influx of registrations, but the rush didn’t occur.

Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said this morning there were 176 casualties, 17 of them in critical condition, and three fatalities from yesterday’s bombings near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
