“Springing Forward and Letting Go” on Morning Energy

Share

This week, many around the world lost an hour of sleep as we sprung forward leaving many still struggling to adjust to the time change. And if you are wondering how all of this begun, well you might be surprise to learn that American inventor and politician Benjamin Franklin proposed a form of daylight time in 1784. He wrote an essay “An Economical Project for Diminishing the Cost of Light” to the editor of The Journal of Paris, suggesting, somewhat jokingly, that Parisians could economize candle usage by getting people out of bed earlier in the morning, making use of the natural morning light instead.

On Morning Energy, we are going to further explore the concept of “springing forward”. We will also explore its metaphorical meaning as well…..

Join me, Renna (your Radio Flayme) this Friday, from 4 to 6am to be a part of this dynamic musical journey!!! Hope you are able to tune in! If not you can always listen back for a week on the Morning Energy archives.
