I've posted video from Saturday's WMNF John Lennon 70th Birthday party at Skipper's on the WMNF News Facebook page
So far there's Scott Elliott & WMNF News' Kate Bradshaw performing Help, Jealous Guy, and You've Got to Hide Your Love Away.
Plus Johnny Cakes and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypso performing Norwegian Wood.
And Jillian (from Sixties Show with Phil & Bill, who do background vocals).
There are some photos, too.

A terriffice day and night at Skippers. But I did not expect NOT to hear "Working Class Hero"! "I am the Walrus" and "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" would have been nice, too. Scott and Kate were a terrific surprise. If the radio thing does not work out, they can try music. Thanks to all the organized and donate time and efforts. Hope to be around for Lennon's 80th birthday tribute. Raff.

No to Columbus?

I don't think John Lennon would approve of the message on Facebook from this station to Say No to Columbus, a call for a demonstration in protest of the memory of Christopher Columbus by the listeners of this station and their followers on Facebook. As it is, that commentary is a violation of Facebook's TOS, that being a comment or action against another ethnic group. It is also a violation of diversity law as well as immoral, inciteful, and racist. I also feel that as a station that is funded by contributions, that they should host any comments or individuals of this sort, or permit their license as a radio station under the FCC to be jepordized.
