Florida Section of American Water Works Assoication Region IV's Best Drinking Water Contest
Friday, March 22
The Florida Section of the American Water Works Association Region IV will be holding their 2013 “Best Tasting Drinking Water” contest at the Family Recreation Complex in Temple Terrace at 10:30 am on Friday, March 22nd. The American Water Works Association aims to assure present and future generations of Florida a sufficient supply of high quality drinking water. The 2013 Best Tasting Drinking Water contest brings together utilities from a seven-county region (Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sumter). Water samples are judged on taste, clarity, and aroma. The judging is completely subjective and not scientific in any way. The Best Tasting Drinking Water Champion will receive an engraved plaque, and a permanent legacy with the utility’s name emblazed on Region IV’s revolving trophy. The Champion gets to display the revolving trophy for a year and retains bragging rights as the best tasting drinking water in the seven-county region! The Champion will represent the region at the state contest on April 30, 2013 at the Florida Water Resource Conference in Orlando. We invite you to join us for this prestigious and fun event and watch as the utilities come together for some healthy competition in providing the best tasting drinking water in the region! For additional information and to register for this event, please contact Steven King, Region IV Treasurer at (813) 207-7958.
