A Multicultural, Interfaith Program to Celebrate the Summer Season and share our thanks and well wishes to Rev. Abhi Janamanchi. This will be the last Ruah including Rev. Abhi. He has accepted a position at Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church in Bethesda, MD. Featuring Gumbi Ortiz & New Groove City, Latin percussion and music; Baba Abasi Ote, Didgeridoo and Percussion; Jayash & Manash Ramanathan, classical Indian dancers; Kuumba Dancers & Drummers; Venupuri Srinivas; Sachiko Luna Kline; Anirudh Challa; Cathy Costa, vocals; Barry Skeete, Percussion; Fred Johnson, internationally renowned jazz musician; and Rev. Abhi Janamanchi, senior minister, UUs of Clearwater. The program will feature multicultural music and dance, poetry and readings on the miracles of summer. Called “Festival Ruah: A Multicultural Spirit Experience,” Ruah means ‘spirit’ or ‘wind’ in Hebrew. Festival Ruah is a celebration of the spirit across cultures, traditions, and faiths.
