Interview with Damacio Lopez, executive director of IDUST- the International Depleted Uranium Study Team. Lopez first discovered the issue of DU when it was being tested in nearby Soccoro, NM in the 1970s and 80s. He says that indigenous people were being exposed to DU at dangerous levels. Since then he's been part of an organization which monitors the use of DU by the U.S. military and NATO. He says the environment, soldiers and civilians in Iraq, Kosovo, New Mexico, Puerto Rico and Afghanistan are at risk.
