The NY Times reported today that the International Committee of The Red Cross has charged in confidential reports to the U.S. Government that the American military has intentionally used psychological and sometimes physical coercion tantamount to torture on prisoners at Guatanamo Bay, Cuba.

Charles Sheehan Miles is the Executive Director of Veterans for Common Sense, and a former Specialist for the US Army back in Operation Desert Storm. His organization has sent a letter out to every US Senator regarding their opposition the nomination of White House Alberto Gonzalez to replace John Ashcroft as US Attorney General, based on his advising the President that parts of the Geneva Convention as obsolete and quaint in the War on Terrorism.
