Beth Bird, director of “Everyone Their Grain of Sand.� This important film chronicles the struggles of the fiercely determined citizens of Maclovio Rojas, Tijuana, Mexico, as they try to get state government funding for a community school and fight attempts to evict them from their land. Filmmaker Beth Bird follows the community for three years as it pays the human price of globalization.
