Interview with Soil & Water Conservation Board Supervisor candidate Tammy Harman - Lisa Marzilli
03/08/06
In the WMNF tradition of interviewing local candidates running for office, today we turn our focus to one of the lesser known offices – that of the Hillsborough County Soil & Water Conservation Board.
The board was created in 1946 to assist the Conservation District in managing the county’s soil and water, with a particular focus on agricultural lands. The five elected board members serve a district wide, four year term and receive no monetary compensation.
Tammy Harman is running for the District 1 Supervisor position on the board. She sat down with WMNF on Monday and we began by asking her, why this position? (roll tape #1 o.q. "also in March")
