COMPANY INVOLVED IN CORPORATE FRAUD GIVEN 750 MILLION DOLLARS IN GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS INCLUDING CONTRACT TO BUILD MOBILE PHONE SYSTEM IN IRAQ. The Gray Panthers have called for a congressional investigation into the granting of federal contracts to MCI/WorldCom. The Panthers say that seniors lost billions of retirement dollars by investing in MCI/WorldCom in the 1990s. But as a result of accounting fraud, much of that money was lost. The Panthers want MCI/WorldCom to be barred from receiving government contracts until it makes amends for malfeasance in the 1990s.
