Vegan Thanksgiving to take place in Temple Terrace by Mitch E. Perry11/22/06
Tomorrow of course, is the American Holiday of Thanksgiving – which for people who do not eat meat – can be a challenging holiday.
Throughout the country, there have been alternative events to celebrate the occasion.
Now local citizens in the Tampa Bay Area are doing the same.
Tomorrow at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tampa on Morris Bridge Road in Temple Terrace, Tampa Bay’s 1st Annual Vegan Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner will take place.
Organizers say they when they came up with the concept, they weren’t certain what the interest level would be. But event organizer Michelle LeFleur says it’s been tremendous (roll tape#1 o.q.the turkey, so)
Organizer Michelle LeFleur the favorite question she has gets since announcing the Turkey Free Thanksgiving Dinner is: What’s on the menu? (roll tape#2 o.q.and wonderful food)
