Jacob Hacker on John Edwards Health care plan part II by Mitch E. Perry
Last week former North Carolina Senator, and current Presidential candidate John Edwards unveiled in specifics his plan to address the nearly 47 million people in the U.S. who do not have health care coverage.
It’s received mostly positive reviews, including a glowing endorsement in the editorial pages of the New York, where columnist Paul Krugman called the Edwards plan addresses the uninsured and the waste and inefficiency of our fragmented insurance system.
In the 2nd part of our interview, Yale Political Science Professor Jacob Hacker talks to WMNF about the Edwards plan. Hacker is considered an expert on heath care. We asked him about ‘inefficient’ is our current system (roll tape#1 o.q.”key elements in mind”)
That’s Yale Political Science professor Jacob Hacker. As he just said, he was a consultant on the health care plan unveiled last week by Presidential contender John Edwards. Hacker is also the author of several books – the latest, “The Great Risk Shift”, was published last fall.comments powered by Disqus
