CONSUMERS AND ENVIRONMENTALISTS LOOK AT THE ENERGY BILL

Our guest, Michele Boyd of the non-profit, public interest group, Public Citizen says the energy bill now making its way through Congress was developed in secret by corporate executives and a few members of Congress who are showered in special interest money.
Public Citizen says the bill will not benefit average citizens, it prioritizes prioritizes polluting industries over safe and renewable energy, weakens environmental safeguards and opens up the electricity sector to massive consolidation and more Enron-style corporate fraud, price-gouging and market manipulation.
