Newsweek contributing editor Melinda Henneberger was a reporter for the New York Times for 10 years. Previously, she was on a Pulitzer prize-winning team at New York Newsday.

Soon after the 2004 presidential election, Henneberger set out across the country to listen to women of all ages and occupations express their opinions on the major issues of our time. Over eighteen months she interviewed more than two hundred women in twenty states, from Florida to Massachusetts to Arizona, Oregon and Texas. Henneberger discovered that women feel they aren't being listened to and disregarded by both major parties and by most politicians. The result of this work is her new book, If They Only Listened To Us.She joins us in the studio.
