Hillsborough officials announced the elimination of 138 county jobs as part of mandatory budget cuts.
The cuts are needed to comply with the property tax reform passed by the state Legislature this year.
There are approximately 6,000 people who work for Hillsborough County. The cuts will come mainly from the Parks and Recreation and Library divisions.
