Radioactivity: Live Call-In (Tuesday) | Listen to this entire show:
During this segment we discussed PolitiFact, a new website that sifts truth from fiction in the presidential campaign. It is a joint project of the St. Petersburg Times and Congressional Quarterly.
The brain behind it is the Times' Washington Bureau Chief Bill Adair; he joined WMNF to discuss Politifact.com and its unique "Truth O Meter" which rates the statements made by candidates. Ratings range from Pants on Fire to False, Mostly True, Partly True and True.
Adair spoke with WMNF about the need to go beyond the "on the one hand, on the other hand" style of reporting.
