Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul got a boost today as online activists promoted a one-day fund raising drive. The goal was to get 100,000 people to donate $100 each and raise $10-million in a single day.
Although that might be a bit too ambitious, Paul has all ready raised more than $5-million so far this quarter. Paul made headlines with more than $ 5.2-million in the third quarter and has more than $5.4-million in cash on hand.
Paul is the Texas congressman who ran as the Libertarian presidential candidate in 1988. Heâ€™s had many faithful supporters nationally over the years, but has never received the national acclaim that heâ€™s enjoying now in his uphill campaign for the GOP nomination.
Mark Cross, the Florida state coordinator for the Paul campaign, extols some of the congressmanâ€™s virtues.
