In June, the Senate passed H.R. 6, its version of the energy bill, that includes increased fuel standards for automobiles and light trucks. This is the first time in more than 30 years that either branch of Congress has passed an increase in Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards.
A new report by Environment America details how much oil and money residents of each state would save if the Senate version of the energy bill becomes law. This afternoon, WMNF’s Seán Kinane spoke with Adam Rivera with Environment Florida about a new report called “Driving Towards a New Energy Future.”
