Last week the Rays baseball team unveiled plans for a new waterfront stadium in downtown St. Petersburg.
The new stadium would be open air and smaller than the existing Tropicana Dome. It would be located on the downtown waterfront- raising lots of questions about land use, dredge and fill of Tampa Bay and transportation.
St. Petersburg Times columnist Howard Troxler joined us for this segment to discuss the financing of the proposal, the location, the benefits of an indoor versus outdoor facility and the prospects for it being built in time for the 2010 baseball season.
