Radioactivity: Live Call-In (Wednesday)

Our guest is syndicated columnist and PBS News Hour panelist Mark Shields. He'll be speaking in Sarasota on April 7.

The event sponsor, Forum Truth for a Change, is a Sarasota organization that brings speakers and events to the Southwest Florida area to enlighten and provoke thoughtful dialogues about today's issues. The forum has put on nearly 60 speakers over the past four years.

Mark Shields has been on the political playing field since Robert F. Kennedy ran for president in 1968. After years of managing campaigns from the courthouse to the White House, he is now one of the most widely recognized commentators in the United States.

Paul Duke, who served as honorary chair of Forum Truth until his death in 2005, helped shape Forum Truth to continue the kind of civil discourse that he championed in the many years that he served as moderator of the popular and award-winning PBS program, Washington Week in Review.

For tickets or more information about the event, go to the forum's website or call (941) 349-8350.
