Welcome to WMNF’s Radioactivity. I’m Rob Lorei. Coming up today an interview with Andy Ford, president of the Florida Education Association, the state’s largest teacher’s union.

We’ll talk about the state of education today in Florida, the budget cuts, the promises made by Gov. Charlie Crist to education and the impact of former Gov. Jeb Bush on the state’s school system. But first, some listener comments about yesterday’s program, which looked at the growing possibility that President Bush might launch an attack on Iran.

Andy Ford is president of the Florida Education Association, the state’s largest teacher’s union. The Florida Education Association represents more than 250,000 teachers and education staff professional in Florida’s 67 school districts. Today the National Education Association begins its annual convention in Washington D.C. Yesterday I spoke with him about the state of education here in Florida.
