Welcome to Radioactivity, I’m Rob Lorei.
Coming up today we’ll talk about the effort to create a universal health care system in the U.S. and later we’ll talk about political and human rights in China.
But first we are still getting listener comments about the candidates who are running for the Democratic nomination for the 10th Congressional District. Two of the candidates debated on our air last Wednesday. The third candidate was unable to take part because of technical difficulties- but he did join us for equal time on Thursday.
First up today: Joanne Green State Policy Director of ACORN- The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. ACORN is part of a coalition called Health Care for America Now. Her group is looking for stories of health insurance companies that who have denied treatment or made the cost of health care unaffordable for the persons insured.
