Spokesperson defends criticism of Palin listen09/10/08 Mitch E. Perry
WMNF Drive-Time News Wednesday | Listen to this entire show:
The McCain campaign reacted intensely to Barack Obama’s comment that "you can’t put lipstick on a pig" by claiming it was a sexist remark, complete with a new television ad that juxtaposed Obama’s comment last night with Sarah Palin saying that the only difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull is lipstick.
WMNF spoke with Maria Comella, a spokeswoman for Gov. Sarah Palin, this morning. We began our interview by asking her if Palin was truly offended by Obama’s remark, or did she acknowledge that it was simply good politics for the McCain campaign to act as it he said something wrong.
After campaigning with John McCain this morning, Palin was returning to her home state of Alaska.
