Spokesperson defends criticism of Palin
The McCain campaign reacted intensely to Barack Obamaâs comment that "you canât put lipstick on a pig" by claiming it was a sexist remark, complete with a new television ad that juxtaposed Obamaâs comment last night with Sarah Palin saying that the only difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull is lipstick.
WMNF spoke with Maria Comella, a spokeswoman for Gov. Sarah Palin, this morning. We began our interview by asking her if Palin was truly offended by Obamaâs remark, or did she acknowledge that it was simply good politics for the McCain campaign to act as it he said something wrong.
