A Post-Election Call In Show11/05/08 Robert Lorei
Radioactivity: Live Call-In (Wednesday) | Listen to this entire show:
Welcome to Radioactivity. We’ll open the phone lines in a few minutes and get your comments about yesterday’s election results- including the selection of Barack Obama to be the next president of the United States. We’ll also hear about the ongoing problems with the vote count in Hillsborough County. And we’ll hear from David Isay, the founder of Story Corps, the Oral History project that is coming to Tampa in a few weeks to gather stories of ordinary Americans and put those stories in the Library of Congress. But first- three listener comments that have come in the past 24 hours.
Our first guest is David Isay, founder of Story Corps, the most ambitious oral history project in American History. David’s organization has collected memories of people from all 50 states and every conceivable background. These interviews with everyday people are archived at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress. Isay is speaking tonight in Sarasota and Story Corps is returning to the bay area at the end of this year and early next year.

Next up an interview with Patrick Manteiga, editor and publisher of the local newspaper La Gaceta. He's monitoring the election count problems in Hillsborough County.
