Thursday, after nearly 48 hours of delays in counting early votes, Democrat Phyllis Busansky found out that she had defeated incumbent Republican Buddy Johnson to become Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections.

WMNF spoke with Busansky today to get her reaction to the victory and to the issues that came up during the election. Busansky said she feels "Great. Absolutely, totally, great. … It’s a great honor and I’m just very excited about it."
