WMNF Drive-Time News Monday | Listen to this entire show:

Former Florida Speaker of the House Marco Rubio announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate earlier this month.

Rubio was in Tampa Friday night at a Hispanic Republican fundraiser. In the video announcing his candidacy, Rubio said he looked forward to talking about tax reform, and not just tax cuts in his campaign. WMNF asked him if he is acknowledging that there’s been too much emphasis on tax cuts by Republicans nationally in recent years.

Stay tuned to hear more from this interview tomorrow night on the Evening News, where Rubio discusses his problems with Gov. Charlie Crist’s plan to make 20 percent of all energy from Florida utilities come from renewable sources by the year 2020.
