Dr. Laura Boylan is Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at New York University School of Medicine. She practices at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Pennsylvania and is a member of Physicians for a National Health Care Program.
She gave her reactions to the efforts in the Senate and the House to deal with what she perceives as the medical crisis in our country. Seeing very little progress in controlling costs and the profit-driven insurance companies and big pharma, she holds little hope for measures that will alleviate the present health care crisis. To her, mandatory health insurance is not the answer.
