Our guest is former Congressman Jim Leach. He served in the U.S. House of Representatives for 30 years as a Republican from Iowa. He now heads the National Endowment for the Humanities. Prior to his appointment by President Obama to serve as NEH Chair, he was the John L. Weinberg Visiting Professor of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. He also served as the interim director of the Institute of Politics at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. He's currently on a speaking tour of Florida where he's discussing how create more civility in our political dialogue.
