Alternative to Violence

Val Liveoak, a peace activist for over 40 years, comes to the Tampa Bay Area to speak and conduct workshops at the Friends Meeting House in St. Petersburg. Val has been involved in the Peace Teams Project with The Quakers in many countries but most especially in Columbia and South America. She discusses the necessity of inclusivity and bringing all parties to the "table" to arrive at consensus. Val has also coordinated the Alternatives to Violence Project through the world. Everyone is invited to a pot-luck dinner to on April 24 from 2-4:30 PM at the Friends Meeting House in St. Petersburg.
