Today, Governor Charlie Crist vetoed a controversial bill that would have required women seeking an abortion to pay for an ultrasound.
On Twitter, the stateâ€™s Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink said â€œI commend the veto of 1143, the ultrasound bill - Governor Crist did the right thing.â€ U.S. Representative Kendrick Meek, State Senator Dan Gelber, and the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida also applauded Cristâ€™s veto.
