The 2004 Green Party presidential candidate, David Cobb, who is an attorney and an expert on the Constitution, will be in the Tampa Bay area the next few days as part of an effort to build a movement against growing corporate power.
The target of his concern is the US Supreme Court’s ruling in Citizens United vs. FEC that removed limits on corporate political contributions.
Cobb is part of a group called Move to Amend, which wants to amend the U.S. Constitution to establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are the only entities entitled to constitutional rights.
