Secretary Perry said that the June 30th Transfer of authority is NOT going to give any break whatsoever to U.S. troops on the ground in Iraq, because the Iraqis are not able at this time to defend their own country (roll tape#1 o.q."to get that additional support")

Soon to retire as Florida's senior senator, Bob Graham now is finishing his own account, drawing on September 11th and Iraq as "case studies" for a book, to be entitled, "Intelligence Matters" and due out later this year.

Graham took a shot at Vice President Dick Cheney, who told an Orlando audience on Monday that there WAS a link between Al-Queda and Saddam Hussein (roll tape#2 o.q."hands of terrorists")

Earlier this week the US State Department publicly acknowledged that its recently published Patterns of Global Terrorism report was incorrect. The report stated that terrorism across the world had decreased in 2003, when in fact it appears that the opposite was the case. Senator Graham said this was another blow to the Administration's credibility (roll tape#3 o.q."like it is today...")
