The national conference for media reform took place in St Louis this past weekend. It brought together citizens, media activists, lawmakers, and celebrities from throughout non-rightwing media, to talk about solutions to the increasing consolidation and lack of democracy of media. WMNFs Andrew Stelzer was there, tonight he brings us a report on how the issue of racial justice is evolving within the media reform movement.

A panel of architects came together on Friday night to explain the importance of the Dan Kiley Park to about 50 concerned citizens. Kiley Park, also known as the NationsBank Plaza Park, occupies the space between the Tampa Museum of Art and the cylindrical NationsBank Building. It was designed by internationally known landscape architect Dan Kiley. The park opened in 1988 in conjunction with the NationsBank Building, then the NCNB Building, but it has fallen into disrepair in recent years....Be the first to comment

Legal Advocates say that one of the major casualties of the just completed Legislative session in Tallahassee was the failure to compensate Wilton Dedge, a man who was falsely imprisoned for 22 years for a rape he did not commit. TheyÃ¢â¬â¢re also upset that the state did not extend an October 1st deadline for DNA testing that could potentially free other innocent people from prison.
