03/17/03Today, at Legends Field in Tampa, there was a mobilization farewell ceremony for the 317th Military Police Battalion and the 810th Military Police company
the ceremony began with the bringing in of the colors, the American flag and the flag of the US Army. Following that there was the singing of the National Anthem by Melanie Boulay, then a prayer by Army chaplain Stanley Puckett.

Mary Berglund, president of the St. Petersburg League of Women Voters and League member Dwight Lawton dropped by to discuss next Tuesday's forum. It's a new national media initiative/dialogue designed to bring together journalists and the communities they cover for a deliberative conversation. The event coincides with a series of documentaries on WEDU regarding the changing demographics in the United States.

All of the candidates in contested races in the March 4th election were called on February 20th and invited to either tape or do a live 9 minute, unedited interview.
