Intro: On Saturday, HIV/AIDS support groups, as well as family and friends of people infected with HIV and AIDS, gathered in Tampaâ€™s Al Lopez Park for Worlds AIDS Day, an annual event held around the world. WMNF reporter Richard Peacock has a report on the local effort to make people aware of HIV/AIDS problems.

Gloria LaRiva is the national co-ordinator for the Free The Cuban Five Committee. The group is challenging the U.S. government's arrest of five Cuban nationals back in 1998 in south Florida. They were charged with conspiracy to commit espionage. This morning a press conference was held to announce the renovation of the Belmont Heights Little League baseball fields.
