A statewide poll of 600 Floridians finds that people want to keep FloridaÃ¢â¬â¢s class size reduction Amendment in effect. 43 percent of people who responded to the poll support the Amendment, which was passed in 2002. The legal limits for class sizes are 18 children per classroom for the early grades, 22 per class for middle school, and 25 for a high school class. Former chief U.N. weapons inspector Hans Blix said on Saturday he suspected the United States bugged his office and home in the run-up to the Iraq war, but had no hard evidence.
Blix told the UK guardian that he went to extreme lengths to protect his office and his home, enlisting a UN counter surveillance team to sweep both for bugs. Saturday was Bar-B-Que day in the New Port Richey library and Pasco County Elections Supervisor Kurt Browning was the beef. He took a grilling from members of the Pasco County Womens Democratic Club. Browning who was elected as a democrat in the 2000 election, changed horses midstream and became a republican in December of 2002. Last night in Miami, City Miami commissioners took the first step to repeal a stringent ordinance limiting what items protesters can bring to demonstrations.
