The Republican primary for Pinellas County’s congressional seat is heating up as the January 14th election creeps closer. Two candidates answered policy questions during a forum in Pinellas Park in front of more than 150 members of the party.

Washington lobbyist David Jolly is the frontrunner in the Republican primary for the District 13 seat. Jolly has repeatedly said that he would vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act even though that’s already been tried more than 40 times. Republicans...

White House denies allegations that Benghazi talking points were changed 12 times

Conservative news outlets have claimed the Obama administration altered talking points on the 2012 Benghazi attack 12-times. Other allegations have surfaced claiming the words Al Qaeda were removed. The White House is denying those claims saying there was only one change made to the CIA-approved talking points and that was only changing "consulate" to "diplomatic post." Spokesperson Jay Carney also says officials released only the information that could be confirmed as it was received.

Governor Rick Scott instructed his appointed Secretary of State to remove people who may not be U.S. citizens from the voter rolls despite criticism that it unfairly targets Democrats and minorities. Two Republican state lawmakers supported that effort at a Brandon Chamber of Commerce luncheon Wednesday.

A group of enthusiastically exasperated Republicans met Monday in Tampa to hear former conservative congressman Dick Armey speak against what he considers a gross mismanagement of government money by the Obama administration.

The crowd of 150 baby-boomers carried signs of protest reading 'Obama equals child abuse, No socialism- no Obama stimulus, and pay my mortgage."
