Namesake of Darlynn's Darlins' Farm Animal Rescue on "Talking Animals"
My guest on "Talking Animals" Nov. 21 will be Darlynn Czerner, founder of Darlynn’s Darlins, a Polk City, FL animal sanctuary, advocacy and education organization.
Darlynn’s Darlins houses upwards of 200 animals, among them a large population of farm animals, including potbelly pigs, a steer, a retired thoroughbred, several Heritage pigs, chickens, a goat, still other pigs, as well as numerous dogs, cats and rabbits.
The animals residing at Darlynn’s Darlins—the organization bills itself “A Farm Animal Rescue Mission”--have typically arrived from previous living situations or circumstances where they were abused or abandoned.
Once there, most of the animals will remain at Darlynn’s Darlins for the rest of their lives, although in select instances, the sanctuary does facilitate the adoption of spayed and neutered animals to fully-screened homes.
Darlynn Czerner will speak with us live on "Talking Animals" on Nov. 21 at 11am, and listeners are invited to participate in the conversation by calling (813-239-9663) or e-mailing (DJ@wmnf.org).
