Co-Founder of Alley Cat Allies Becky Robinson on "Talking Animals"
My guest on "Talking Animals" April 24 will be Becky Robinson, co-founder and president of Alley Cat Allies.
Based in Bethesda, MD, Alley Cat Allies bills itself the only national advocacy organization dedicated to the protection and humane treatment of cats.
Founded in 1990, Alley Cat Allies is viewed as the first organization to introduce and advocate for humane methods of feral cat care, particularly Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), in the American animal protection community.
In this recorded "Talking Animals" conversation, Robinson recounts the circumstances some 23 years ago that led to launching Alley Cat Allies…discusses the history, evolution, effectiveness of TNR…responds to questions about the controversy that sometimes swirls around TNR and how best to treat feral and homeless cats—including from the perspective of wildlife advocates, factions of veterinarians and others who oppose TNR…and more.
The conversation with Becky Robinson will air on "Talking Animals" on April 24 at 9am ET.
