WMNF hosts America Recycles Day

WMNF is joining thousands of local organizers holding recycling events across the country to celebrate America Recycles Day, a national initiative by Keep America Beautiful and the only nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. Since its inception in 1997, communities across the country have participated in America Recycles Day to educate, promote environmental citizenship, and encourage action.

Here at WMNF we value the importance of recycling. All cardboard, office paper, plastic and aluminum are recycled at the station. We also reuse file folders, padded envelopes, and CD cases. You can celebrate America Recycles Day by bringing in your used electronics to WMNF. We will accept electronic recycling until November 15, 5:30 PM. If you need to make arrangements to drop off after hours please contact Sheila Cowley: cowley@wmnf.org or 813-238-8001 ext 122.

Here's a list of what can and can't be safely recycled.

Our thanks to Creative Recycling Systems of Tampa for collecting and recycling the electronics.
