NEW FILM CALLED USA VS AL-ARIAN TO PREMIER TOMORROW AT THE TAMPA THEATRE

Next up-- tomorrow night at the Tampa Theatre (7:30PM), a new film about a sensational local terror trial, premiers in Tampa for just one showing. The film is called USA VERSUS AL-ARIAN. WMNF is co-sponsoring the film showing tomorrow night.

We're joined now by Line Halvorssen, the film's director....and Tone Andersen the film's photographer.

Line Halvorsen (b. 1969) has worked as a director and editor on more than 20 documentaries and travel series for Norwegian and International television since 1997. Many of these have focused on human rights issues. She received her degree in film at the University of Trondheim and specialized in documentary film at Volda College, Norway.

 Tone Andersen has studied Film at Lillehammer College and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Film & Video at The Surrey Institute of Art & Design, Great Britain. She is currently co-directing the documentary Tomorrow, Godwilling with Gunhild Forselv; a film project following three young Palestinians over a period of five years.

We're also joined by Ahmed Bedier, the ex. director of the local chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). CAIR is the sponsor of tomorrow's film showing (WMNF is a media co-sponsor).  

(Following the film showing the filmmakers, a jurror from the trial, some local reporters and supporters of Al-Arian from the Christian community) will take part in a panel discussion.
